Jersey Shore Miami debuted on MTV last week with a bang. The Jersey Shore kids didn’t disappoint as they were as obnoxious and angry as ever. The big question going into Jersey Shore season 2 was whether it could match the success of the first season. If episode 1 was any indication, Jersey Shore Miami will not disappoint.

The Jersey Shore kids are all back and I do mean every single one of them. Like LeBron James, the Jersey Shore crew decided to take their “talents” to Miami. The New Yorkers will move from annoying the fine upstanding young adults of Seaside Heights to the pretentious souls of Miami Beach.Good luck Miami!

Gossip websites like RadarOnline and TMZ have fallen in love with the Jersey Shore kids since last year. The good news there is that if you are a Jersey Shore fan, there have been spoilers up almost daily about the new season. The bad news is that the biggest surprise of the second Jersey Shore season was out of the bag weeks ago.

The train that left the station a few weeks back is that Angelina returned for Jersey Shore season 2. If you remember, Angelina left early on in the first season after she refused to show up for work in addition to arguing with her boyfriend who was married. Angelina made her biggest impact though after the cameras stopped rolling in the press. Angelina made a plethora of disparaging remarks about her female roommates, none of which went unnoticed.

The kids are all relatively the same for the most part. It doesn’t look like success or fame changed any of them…well except one of them. Snooki went from being arguably the most likable roommate last season to the most arrogant one of the bunch. She was obnoxious from the minute the show started to the very end. She was rude and insulting to everyone that wasn’t in the house, and even some of the people even in the house. She changed a lot and not for the better.

On the other hand you would have expected the head of “The Situation” not to even fit through the front door. It barely fit through the door last season and he wasn’t even a household name yet. Ironically he seems a lot calmer and dare I say maybe a little humble coming into this season. Pauly D and Vinnie seem exactly the same and just as level headed as they were last summer. Ronnie is now “Single Ronnie” as Vinnie called him and he looks to be just as big an idiot as he was during the first season. Sammi and J Woww haven’t changed much and J Woww seemed even angrier believe it or not than the first season.

The first episode primarily focused on them traveling and coming to Miami. They all went out the first night. The girls all wound up getting into a huge blowup with Angelina, while the boys all got along really well. “Single Ronnie” hooked up with two “grenades” as “The Situation” likes to call them. He and Sammi picked up where they left off last season with one of their trivial arguments. It wouldn’t be Jersey Shore without a dumb argument between the two.

One thing I will say is that MTV is treading on dangerous ground when it comes to overexposing the Jersey Shore kids. The commercial breaks were full of the Jersey Shore kids. The commercials featured the Jersey Shore kids commenting on new movies or whatever else MTV was selling. They came off very unnatural (especially in the scripted humor segments) and by the end of the show, it was enough already. MTV has this horrific habit of taking successful franchises and running them into the ground. A few more weeks of these ridiculous commercials and MTV will succeed in killing yet another golden goose.

The end of the show featured a ton of clips previewing the upcoming season. Instead of calling this season Jersey Shore Miami they should call it Jersey Shore Cat Fight. It looks like the season will be filled with plenty of fist fights between the female roomies. Quite honestly, it didn’t look like anything interesting was going on at all with the guys. Ronnie and Sammi are on and off, as anyone could have predicted. Overall it looks fun and the cat fights will keep people interested and tuning in from week to week.

And if Miami isn’t enough don’t worry. The kids are currently in Seaside Heights taping another season.
