Warrior's Way Poster The Warrior’s Way is a visually stunning modern martial arts western starring Korean actor Dong-gun Jang who plays an Asian warrior assassin forced to hide in a small town in the American Badlands.  Rounding out the ensemble cast are Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns), Oscar©-winner Geoffrey Rush (Shine), Danny Huston (The Kingdom), and Tony Cox (the Hustle).  The fantasy action film was written and directed by newcoming Sngmoo Lee and is being produced by Barrie Osborne (Lord of the Rings), Jooick Lee (Seven Swords), and Michael Peyser (Hackers).

The movie opened December 3rd in theaters nationwide.

New Documentary Spotlights Classic Black Sabbath Album

Black SabbathEagle Rock Entertainment has been outdoing themselves with their classic album series. The classic album series profiles one historic music album and goes behind the scenes with the band and other key players in the making of the music. Eagle Rock’s new documentary Black Sabbath: Classic Albums-Paranoid spotlights the second historic effort from England’s lords of darkness, Black Sabbath.

Black Sabbath: Classic Albums-Paranoid profiles the second album from Black Sabbath with interviews and archived footage. In addition to their band, the documentary is filled with prominent musicians who speak of the influence that Black Sabbath and Paranoid had on their lives. Paranoid is regarded as one of the most influential albums in heavy metal history. Paranoid was certified seven times platinum and contains some of the most recognizable metal anthems in music history.

There are times when I think that Black Sabbath’s influence on music is understated. While many in the metal community acknowledged their greatness, I still think that mainstream music media has yet to fully appreciate the impact that Black Sabbath had on metal and rock in general. It is nice to see Black Sabbath getting such praise in a documentary, especially for something as historic as Paranoid.

It is pretty amazing that all of the members of Black Sabbath continue to play music in 2010. Ozzy Osbourne just never stops and his existence is a daily miracle when you read about his exploits in the 80s and 90s.
